All Battery Centers give back through toy drives

Interstate All Battery Centers are helping their communities this Christmas season by collecting toys for underprivileged children.
In Bryan/College Station, Texas, the All Battery store participated in a local radio station’s toy drive. Store manager Brian Kubeczka says he asked the radio station if they needed any batteries for the electronic toys they receive.
“They told me that people donate then when the DJ’s make a plea for them, on-air, and they always end up having to buy some,” Kubeczka says. “I told them that Interstate All Battery Center of Bryan would donate everything they needed. They were ecstatic about that, because they didn’t have to worry about hustling up batteries when they needed them.”
Kubeczka says the store donated more than $550 worth of AA, AAA, C, D & 9V batteries to the cause and signed on to do it again next year.
Other All Battery Centers participated in their community Toys for Tots drives.
Longview, Texas, manager Ron Blair tells the Longview News-Journal that the store donated more than $1,000 in batteries for the toys that were collected. The store also served as an official Toys for Tots drop-off location.
In Ames, Iowa, franchisees Matt and Nancy Breen accepted Toys for Tots donations and also agreed to donate batteries for every toy collected in the community’s drive. As a special “thank you,” the Ames store offered customers a 20 percent discount coupon if they brought a toy to donate.
Interstate All Battery Center of East Bay (San Francisco area), along with the All Battery Center in Santa Rosa, Calif., donated about 3,000 Interstate Workaholic batteries to the local Toys for Tots program on Monday.
